Emilio Moro Finca Resalso 2017
|Region||Spain, Ribera del Duero|
Ruby color. On the nose, youthful, medium intensity, fig, cherry, plum, leather, tobacco, dirt, milkshake, with earth and oak. On the palate, dry, medium intensity, medium tannin, medium acidity, very creamy nicely integrated cherry milkshake with light tannins on the finish.
The young, primary and fruit-driven 2017 Finca Resalso was cropped from a very challenging vintage. It is their Tempranillo from younger vines (five to 12 years old), matured in oak barrels for four months. Yields were lower given the killer frosts of April 2017, and the juice tends to be concentrated. It's juicy and tasty and has clean flavors and a refreshing mouthfeel. Very drinkable.
This fresh red offers currant and grapey flavors, with light leafy and smoky notes. Round and juicy, with light tannins and a fruity finish. Drink now.
