Brunelli Brunello di Montalcino 2010
Brunello di Montalcino is surely one of the most well-known and treasured wines in the world. It is a red wine of extraordinary elegance and concentration obtained from a long ageing process. It has a full and ethereal fragrance with hints of wild berries, black cherry and vanilla.

Wine SpectatorWine Spectator 93 points - This concentrated style shows cherry and raspberry fruit along with peppery greens such as arugula, mustard and shiso, graced with tobacco accents. The tannins leave a firm coating on the finish. Shows the potential for aging. Best from 2019 through 2032. 1,250 cases made.-BS
Wine EnthusiastAromas suggest underbrush, crushed berry and moist soil. The palate offers wild cherry, licorice, tobacco, rosemary and sage alongside firm tannins. It still needs to open up and fully develop. Drink 2018-2028.
Wine AdvocateThe 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is a delicate wine with feminine tones of pressed violet and rose backed by bright berry nuances and delicate spice. This Brunello delivers its understated intensity in small, compact pulses that slowly build in momentum. The mouthfeel is lean and the wine shows medium body with smooth layers of fruit, balsam herb and licorice. It offers good 2010 fruit intensity, just in smaller doses. The balanced acidity and silky tannins make the wine approachable in the near term, but it should also hold well for the future. I preferred the fleshiness of the 2009 vintage over the thinness of 2010.
