Apaltagua Reserva Pinot Noir 2014
The Apaltagua winery was purchased by Edward Tutunjian and his family in 1990. Their vineyards are located throughout Chile. The winery is nestled in the foothills of the Andes Mountains in the prestigious Apalta district of the Colchagua Valley. The high altitude, granite and clay soils, warm days and cool nights climate, are ideal for growing high quality grapes. It is a gorgeous place that has led to the Apalta Valley being known as the "valley blessed by the hand of God". Apaltagua wines are crafted by winemaker Benjamin Mei under the watchful eye of consultant Alvaro Espinoza, one of the country's foremost winemakers and the pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in South America.
