Wine AdvocateThis is among Cordero di Montezemolo's standout wines, but I am less enthusiastic about the 2012 Barolo Monfalletto. The bouquet appears dry and streamlined with chalky and leathery tones that blow off quickly enough. The wine feels and tastes a bit older than it should. The appearance is thick and dark, and the wine exhibits a heavy texture in the mouth.
