The 2013 Yamhill Cuvée offers a true bouquet rich with aromas of Bing cherry, blackberry, and dried herbs and spices. The aromas expand out onto the mid-palate to deliver some wonderfully intense red fruits. Polished and graceful, this wine is seamlessly integrated with playful tannins, finishing with spicy notes. The textural profile is refined, silky, elegant and incredibly pleasing for any occasion.

Wine EnthusiastThis entry-level Pinot from Domaine Serene outshines more than a few Oregon reserves. It's splendidly clear, refined and aromatic, with a tantalizingly smoky note in play. There is a pleasing dusty character to the cherry fruit and the finish is dappled with highlights of cinnamon toast. It's flat-out irresistible.

Wine SpectatorTaut and focused, with lively notes of cinnamon-accented raspberry and strawberry, set on a deftly dancing structure. Lingers easily on the expressive finish. Best from 2018 through 2023. 9,890 cases made.

Wine AdvocateThe 2013 Pinot Noir Yamhill Cuvée comes from four different estates owned by Domaine Serene and sees 40% new French oak for 13 months. It has an attractive bouquet with raspberry and crushed strawberry fruit, quite candied in style. The palate is medium-bodied with chalky red berry fruit, a touch of black pepper with a slightly abrupt finish that left me wanting a bit more. This is a decent Pinot Noir, though it does not possess the substance to encourage long-term cellaring.
