Seven Deadly Zins Zinfandel 2013

Seven Deadly Zins Zinfandel 2013

SKU 594

Sinful indeed! This wickedly delicious Zin is temptation at first sip. And that's not just our pride talking... blame it on the Catholic school upbringing of brothers Michael and David or their lust for hedonistically seductive wine. Our flagship Old Vine Zinfandel hails from the enviable Lodi Appellation where Zin reigns supreme. Here for six generations, we've given our souls to growing the finest grapes so that saints and sinners alike can enjoy the 7 Deadly Zins. Fresh ground pepper and an array of spices up front. Dried fruit on the mid palate with a finish like Boysenberry pie.

Wine AdvocateA softer, more lush and voluptuous texture can be found in the 2013 7 Deadly Zins, which is also 100% Zinfandel from Lodi. The production here is 280,000 cases! To produce such a high-volume wine of this quality is pretty remarkable winemaking. Loads of ripeness, fruit, glycerin and medium to full-bodied silky mouthfeel make for a delicious effort. Drink it now-2017.

Wine EnthusiastThis full-bodied wine has a deep color and smoke and charcoal aromas. The flavors are ripe, concentrated, grapy and berry-like. The texture has moderate tannins but is polished around the edges. It's a big and rowdy wine that doesn't lose control.

Wine SpectatorSoft and ripe, with modest flavors of cherry and grilled herb. Drink now through 2019. 300,000 cases made.
